Description

80B-2 Duplex Taper lock Sprocket is another type of sprocket used in power transmission systems. It belongs to the 80B series of sprockets, which are designed to work with British Standard (BS) roller chains.

Similar to the previous example, the "80B-2" designation indicates that this sprocket is compatible with a 1-inch pitch BS Roller Chain and has two strands side by side (hence the "2" in the designation).

Again, the "Duplex" feature means that this sprocket has dual sets of teeth to accommodate the two strands of the roller chain, providing increased load-carrying capacity compared to a single-strand sprocket.

The "Taper lock" attribute refers to the method of installation. Taper lock sprockets have a tapered bore and are mounted onto a shaft using a locking device, such as a locking bush or a taper lock bushing. This ensures a secure connection between the sprocket and the shaft, preventing slippage during operation.
